We do not provide specific Immigration advice from the UK however the following may be of some use Getting your fiancé or settlement visa is only the first stage of living in the UK. If you have chosen the fiancé route then you will need to get married within six months and notify UKBA Once married or if you have a settlement visa then you can stay for two years. In order to remain after this period you need to apply for an Indefinite Stay visa but in order to do that you will need to comply with the current rules which may include either or both - A certificate in English at ESOL 3 level or a certificate that you obtained the necessary pass rate for the Life in the UK Test website. The A1 English Speaking & Listening test does not count During the two years you should keep your absences from the UK to a minimum, now there does not appear to be a given number of days that you may be out of the country so be warned, our suggestion do not come back to your home country for more than a couple of weeks a year. We also have Kevin and Mod in the UK, remember, as part of our service, there is someone to talk to (in Thai or English) about those personal or communication problems you may have without the fear of being 'sold' something. You will get just straight honest opinions from them both, but please bear in mind they do not give Immigration advice. If you require this sort of advice then they will just take your details down and forward to our panel in Thailand. To contact them please ring the following number, evenings or weekends are best as they are doing other things, you could also email:
