SCHENGEN
The countries in the Schengen group are:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden
The application should normally be made to the country that a
person is going to arrive in. Once approved it allows free movement
through any Schengen country and permission to enter Switzerland.
Forms can be completed in English or the language of the country
applying to. Most countries have their own form or a general one can
be submitted but this is not suggested
The single-entry visa is valid for up to three
months. With a multiple-entry visa one may enter the Schengen area
several times providing that the combined stay in the area totals
more than 90 days within three months starting from the first day of
entry
Tourist visa
If you are travelling in a tour group then the formalities are
usually easier as there will be a tour schedule and return ticket
Should you wish to travel to meet friends or go on a holiday
to visit then you will need to meet criteria which varies slightly
from country to country. In general you will need to prove that you
have sufficient personal funds to support the length of your stay or
a 'formal pledge' from your sponsor plus travel insurance (approved
company). The fee varies from country to country

A number of further meetings may take place with either or both of you until the portfolio in our opinion is completed. Final meeting and balance payable. Our fees from 15,000 Baht dependent on country (an exact figure will be given to you at the first meeting) |

Whilst Ireland is in Europe, it and the UK are not members of the Schengen group and require a separate visa application
Tourist visa
This is granted for a maximum of 90 days, you can apply for a single or multiple entry (the latter is best if you are travelling say to the UK or another country), you should allow up to eight weeks from application in case your papers have to be submitted to Ireland. As with most countries you should have a full tour schedule (not purchased) if going on a tour, proof of own funds if paying for your trip, proof of sponsors situation if they are paying and insurance with reason to return.
If you are married to a citizen of Ireland or a Schengen country then the visa fee (for tourist) is waived.
Marriage visas can take longer and it is important for visas that ALL documentation is submitted in English with an approved legal translation of other language papers
