Australia
Tourist
Thai nationals require to apply for a visa which can be for up to 12 months. If you are going as a friend then evidence to
support this is required plus a reason for you to return. Adequate funds to support the length of your stay. You may be required to
have a medical or X-ray especially if you plan to stay more than two weeks. It can also be a single or multiple entry application
and the visa for tourist would normally allow you to stay for up to three months but the actual time permitted is decided
by the Entry Clearance Officer
If on a package tour then the tour operator will normally assist.
You will not be covered by medical services whilst in Australia so insurance should be considered
You must not work whilst in Australia
Marriage
An Australian citizen needs to obtain permission from their Embassy and the Thai authorities to marry in Thailand
Spouse
Normally a temporary two year visa will be granted for those wishing to join their partner on a permanent basis, application for the visa is
subject to the above (tourist visa) and more i.e. a medical, police clearance certificate etc. It is essential that you have known each
other and can prove that a relationship exists for at least a year. You should be able to speak English to a reasonable
standard. Allow up to four months unless further information is requested
Separate applications are required from both parties
Please note that we as we do not operate within Australia we are not required under Australian law to be a registered 'Migration Agent'.
We may depending on your situation i.e. difficult location to the Australian Embassy note on your application that we are acting
for you
